- Transmission Diagnosis – Looking at live data for transmission there is a correlation between the rumble strip noise being heard and the torque converter slip. The slip speed increase to 100% then drops sharply back to 0-10% The misfire is actually converter shutter. Technician did graph all engine cylinder and was unable to log any misfires on test drive.
