- The EPC light indicates there is a problem with the vehicle's electronic power control (Throttle, ECU, Sensors). Yes, a failing battery can cause this light to come on. ECM has codes for databus error value received and fuel pump short circuit, both intermittent. The battery is testing bad, at 234 CCA out of 680 CCA. This all indicates the battery is failing and needs to be replaced. The fuel pump has a high current draw and would be one of the first circuits affected behind the starter. Recommending replacement of the AGM battery.
